Explorers Attend March for Life in DC

Last Wednesday – Saturday, 6 Explorers traveled to Washington DC for the annual March for Life pilgrimage. This pilgrimage originated when Roe V. Wade was handed down by the Supreme Court on January 22, 1973.

While on this trip, the agenda was very packed. The group began with a Mass at the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate conception in Washington DC. While at that shrine we saw a sculpture of “Our Lady of Charity”. One of our students told me his relative was commissioned to design that very sculpture.

The group also went to The National Holocaust Museum and “Life Fest” a Catholic worship and mass event put on by the Sisters of Life, a religious order from NY whose only mission is to minister to men and women in crisis pregnancy, and human need.
