Beyond the Classroom

Learn Everywhere, All the Time

The "Adelante" spirit is not limited to daily classroom activity; most Explorers choose extra-curricular activities to expand their talents and practice the skills they have acquired in the classroom. According to his interests, an Explorer might be the lead trumpet in the band, a news anchor for CCNN, or a robotics engineer.

What is the Student Activities Committee?
Columbus’ Student Activities Committee (SAC) strives to provide Explorers with unique escapes from their academic responsibilities by organizing a diverse spectrum of events and activities. SAC is tasked with planning fun and engaging events and upholds traditions such as Homecoming Week, Dress Down Days, and Spirit Week. With everything that SAC has to offer, there is surely something for everyone!
