Student Hardware Policy

Hardware Summary
Each student receives their hardware bundle for all 4-years and keeps it upon graduation. The hardware bundle consists of:
  • (1) Apple Pencil
  • (1) Magic Keyboard Case for iPad 
  • (1) iPad Air with AppleCare 
  • (1) Macbook Air with AppleCare  

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

REFUND DEADLINES:
1st Semester: September 8, 2023            
2nd Semester: January 26, 2024 

This policy applies to all students, including families transferring out of town. Upon withdrawal, the student’s account should be current, and the month of withdrawal must be paid in full, or transcripts will not be released.

Payment Options

All parents must enroll with Blackbaud Tuition Management and select a payment plan prior to completing the Enrollment Agreement for their son to attend Christopher Columbus High School. All payments are to be made using the electronic automatic payment option to a bank account or credit card.
 
TUITION PENALTIES:
If tuition is not paid on time, students with an outstanding balance may be withheld from receiving report cards or transcripts, and attending social functions (i.e., Prom, Grad Bash, class trips or other school‐organized trips). Students with severely delinquent accounts may ultimately be required to withdraw from school.
 
LATE TUITION FEE: $50 per month, if not paid in full 
BLACKBAUD TUITION FOLLOW-UP SERVICE FEE: $40 per month, if not paid before 5-day grace period 
FAILED TRANSACTION FEE: $30 each 


Entering Students

  • Students enrolled for 1st Semester on, or before, October 6, 2023 will be charged full annual tuition, plus fees as described above.
  • Students enrolled for 2nd Semester on, or before, February 16, 2024 will be charged one‐half annual tuition, plus fees as described above.

    Grades 9 - 11: August 1, 2023 - January 1, 2024 - $7,700  
    Grade 12: August 1, 2023 - January 1, 2024 - $7,850  


    MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN:
    10 equal payments (July through April) 
    Grades 9 - 11: $1,540 
    Grade 12: $1,570

  • Financial Aid

    All students applying for financial aid must be ACCEPTED AND ENROLLED in order to be considered for an award.

    PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 24, 2023
    Applications received by the PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE, with all supporting documentation, including tax returns, will be reviewed by March 31, 2023.**

    FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 31, 2023
    Applications received by the FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE, with all supporting documentation, including tax returns, will be reviewed by May 5, 2023.**

    FINANCIAL AID AWARD NOTICES:
    All awards will be posted on Blackbaud Tuition Management by the dates noted above. However, entering freshmen will receive an email, since their Blackbaud Tuition Management account will not be active at the time.

    LATE APPLICATIONS:

    Applications received after the FINAL APPLICATION DEADLINE, with all supporting documentation, including tax returns, will be reviewed in the order in which these are received. Financial aid will be awarded to those who qualify, until funds have been exhausted.

    **ALL FAMILIES APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID MUST APPLY FOR THE FLORIDA TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP. ANY AMOUNT AWARDED THROUGH FINANCIAL AID MAY BE REVOKED UNLESS CCHS RECEIVES EITHER AN AWARD OR DENIAL LETTER FROM FAMILY EMPOWERMENT SCHOLARSHIP OR STEP UP FOR STUDENTS. FAMILIES THAT DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE FLORIDA TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP MAY STILL QUALIFY FOR A FINANCIAL AID AWARD THROUGH CCHS.

  • Textbook Purchases

    Textbooks are included in tuition as stated above and will be charged through Blackbaud Tuition Management. All students will have access to their textbooks at the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.


  • My School Bucks

    This service is provided by the cafeteria vendor and allows you to pay for your son’s cafeteria expenses using your American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa. Participation is voluntary. You may enroll at any time. Cafeteria expenses are paid to the cafeteria vendor not to CCHS. To enroll or for additional information go to: www.columbushs.com, MYCCHS, username and password, Resources, MySchoolBucks. The Class of 2027 will be able to enroll beginning in early August 2023.
  • Clothing Store

    Physical education uniform items, as well as CCHS sweatshirts, jackets and other items (i.e., baseball caps, t-shirts, etc.) are available on campus at Br. Kevin’s Clothing Store. Official School Uniforms should be purchased at Dennis Uniform located at 8807 SW 132nd Street, Miami, FL.
