The Columbus Launchpad application is designed to empower the faculty at Christopher Columbus High School to turn their visionary ideas into reality, while actively involving students and making a meaningful impact in the community. This application process is rooted in the Marist pillars of simplicity, love of work, in the way of Mary, family, and presence, ensuring that the selected initiatives align with the core values of the school.
Application Criteria & Process

Faculty-Student Collaboration
- Faculty members can submit innovative project proposals that integrate the Marist pillars and actively involve students (at least 50% participation).
- Students are encouraged to contribute ideas and collaborate with faculty to refine and enhance project concepts.

Community Impact Focus
- Projects must outline clear community impact goals, demonstrating how they will benefit local neighborhoods, organizations, or causes.
- Initiatives should reflect the Marist commitment to social responsibility and making a meaningful difference.

Marist Pillar Integration
- Each proposal must align with at least one of the Marist pillars:
- Simplicity: Meaningful and straightforward initiatives.
- Love of Work: Passion for learning, growth, and positive contributions.
- In the Way of Mary: Compassionate and nurturing service.
- Family: Fostering unity and community support.
- Presence: Encouraging engagement, mindfulness, and belonging.

Evaluation Process
- A panel of Columbus families, alumni, and administrators (The Launchers) will review applications based on creativity, feasibility, community impact, and alignment with the Marist pillars.
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited to present their proposals in person.

Funding & Resources
- Selected projects will receive financial support and resources to bring their ideas to life:
- 1st Place: $25,000
- 2nd Place: $10,000
- 3rd Place: $5,000
- Assistance with planning, logistics, and execution will be provided.

Ongoing Support & Recognition
- Columbus Launchpad will continue to monitor and support funded projects, ensuring success and accountability.
- Successful initiatives will be celebrated through school-wide events, publications, and community acknowledgments.
