  • Deacon

    In the Archdiocese of Miami, the permanent diaconate is open to both married and unmarried men between the ages of 31 and 60 with a strong Catholic faith and a solid reputation and character. Candidates must be in full communion with the Church. Men interested in the permanent diaconate should contact their parish pastor who is responsible for the nomination phase of the application process.   • Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth

    Interested in learning more about Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth Mandate? The committee assists the bishops, both collectively and individually, in advancing the vocation and mission of the lay faithful, of married couples and families, lay ecclesial ministers, and of young people. Through emphasis on the articulation and application of anthropological and theological principles, founded on magisterial teaching, the committee assists the bishops as they promote in a culturally diverse Church, the evangelization, faith formation and public witness of these persons, leading them toward a deeper commitment to Christ and his Church so as to transform culture and society.     The vocation of Marist Brotherhood is to “Make Jesus known and loved”.  It involves adopting a practical community lifestyle that embraces a Marial spirituality.  The Marist mission centers around the Christian education of youth with a particular emphasis on meeting the needs of those that are least favored.
