Hellions Win Regional Meet

The Hellions claimed their 16th FHSAA Regional title in convincing fashion, placing five runners in the Top 15.

Up front the team was led by Chris Ivonette and Adrian Bichara. Fifteen seconds later, Malcolm Brown and Alvaro Canarte finished the race. Donato Scarcello ran an impressive race, overcoming illness, falling, and throwing up during the race to place and earn points for the Hellions.

The victory also came on the four-year anniversary of when Sebastian Ortiz received his diagnosis, so the team invited Oscar (Sebastian’s father) onto the podium and awarded him a race bib and metal signed by the team.
