Swim Team Finishes 5th at District Meet

The Columbus Swim team competed in the 2019 FHSAA Class 4A-District 12 Swimming Championships.

The competitive field was fierce this year, as the Explorers competed against Palmetto, Coral Reef, and Braddock. The team placed 5th overall and advanced a number of to the regional meet next week in Boca Raton:
 
200 Medley Relay: Grant Archer, Juan Muci, Daniel Ibarra and Emilio Marin.
 
50Y Free: Daniel Ibarra, Grant Archer and Juan Muci.
 
100Y Free: Daniel Ibarra
 
200Y Freestyle Relay: Grant Archer, Juan Muci, Ricardo Avila and Daniel Ibarra.
 
100Y Backstroke: Emilio Marin
 
400Y Free Relay: Ricardo Avila, Michael Pettigrew, Matthew Ryan and Emilio Marin.
