Tracks Wins GMAC Championship

This Columbus Track & Field team competed at the GMAC Championships this past weekend and for the second straight year, the Explorers came away with the team championship, scoring 142 total points.

The team finished well ahead of Southridge (108), Homestead (62), South Dade (53) and Coral Reef (45.5).

As a team, the Explorers put on a nearly-historic performance by winning all but one of the individual dashes and runs – missing the sweep because they didn’t win the 3,200-meter run – as well as winning all three (400-, 800- and 3,200-meter) relays.
