Victory at District Theater Competition

The Columbus Drama Club competed in the first part of the individual event district theater competition at Miami Arts Studio last weekend.

The troupe placed in all nine events, with two Excellents and seven Superiors, including first-time competitors sophomores Luis Vergara, Raul Mederos, and Gabriel Perez as well as freshmen Marcelo Villareal-Ojito and Joseph Price. The troupe now qualifies to go to states in March.
  • Superior in Ensemble A-  Giovanni Aprigliano, William Lamey, Andrew Llovet,  Raul  Mederos, and Spencer Wood  
  • Superior in Ensemble B-  Andrew Alonso, Gabriel Perez, Tomas Pereyra, Rafael Vergara, and Luis Vergara 
  • Superior in Dialogue A -Andrew Llovet and Rafael Vergara 
  • Superior in Dialogue B- Daniel Sanchez and Raul Mederos 
  • Superior in Dialogue C- Joseph Price and Marcelo Villar-Ojito
  • Superior in Solo Musical A- Daniel Sanchez 
  • Superior in Solo Musical B- William Lamey
  • Excellent in Solo Musical C- Rafael Vergara 
  • Excellent in Scene Design-Steven Hernandez
