Explorers Attend Miami STEMFest, Win $1000

Forty-two Columbus students attended the Miami STEMFest on Tuesday, October 24th

The Innovators In Training series of workshops was organized by Ten80 Education and sponsored by the US Army.

The students were able to attend a series of short workshops in coding, computer  hardware, leadership, RC car racing, game design, UAVs, leadership and the art of the elevator pitch.
 
Matt Alfonso, Marlon Garcia and Sebastian Callejas were awarded $1000 for further project development from their work at the Game Concept workshop.
 
This is the first time Columbus students attend this event.
