Columbus Alumni Featured on YouTube Series

Two local companies founded by Columbus alumni are been featured in Made in Dade’s pilot season of its YouTube channel, showcasing local, millennial business owners.

Brandon Parr and Curtis Chavoustie (both 2011 grads) did plenty of research before starting Parr & Co. The duo design ‘classic and minimalist luxury watches for every occasion’ and created a business plan that helped form the foundation for their business. The plan incorporated a super successful Kickstarter campaign and the former Explorers discussed their business at length in Episode 2.

Episode 3 features BLUE Missions CEO and co-founder Danny Rodriguez discussing the origins of BLUE Missions. Rodriguez, a 2008 graduate, discussed how the grassroots non-profit organization is dedicated to ending the world's water and sanitation crisis. The group facilitates authentic immersion experiences to countries like the Dominican Republic so that locals can gain access to clean water and sanitation.
