Columbus Alum is Ordained as Priest, Moving to California

Longtime Columbus theology teacher and alum from the class of 1987, Alexis Ibarra, was ordained as a Catholic priest on June 17, 2017.

Father Alex was ordained by Bishop Oscar Solis of the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City. He then celebrated his first Mass on Father's Day at St. John Neumann Catholic Church and will take on a Parish assignment in California beginning next month.

We wish Father Alex many blessings on his new adventure in California and will miss him dearly!
