Castaways Event Raises Money for ACS

Castaways Against Cancer kicked off its 2017 fundraising campaign at Ariete in Coconut Grove this past Sunday and a large number of Columbus faculty attended. 

In just three hours, the Castaways raised $1,000 for the American Cancer Society and those on hand enjoyed delicious Ariete cocktails and bites and raffle prizes were awarded. Many thanks to Br. Ben, Br. Kevin, Br. George and Br. John for stopping by the event and showing support for this important cause.

The Castaways launch their 19th 7-day, 160-mile kayak trip to Key West on June 10th. This year’s participants include Steve O'Brien ‘72, Patrick Linfors ‘94, Eric Pino '00, Adam Scholer ‘81, Rick Pelegrin '98, Jose Mendoza '05, Lou De La Aguilera '77, Jaime Lemus '00 and Mas Family Program Director Sylvie Galvez-Cuesta.
