Golf Picks Up 1st Fall Sports Win

The varsity Columbus golf team started off the 2021-22 season last Monday at Mel Reese International Links on a windy day from the back tees, which runs about 7,200 yards (most PGA tour events are played at this distance).

They defeated district opponent Doral Academy and the Explorers were led by rising juniors Andres Atrio (73) and Max Fonseca (78).

The boys will be back in action on Monday, August 23rd for the American Heritage Invitational.

This will be a tough test against some of the top teams around the state: American Heritage, The Benjamin School, and Cardinal Gibbons.
