Robotics Team Takes Highest Awards

The Columbus Robotics Team competed at Ransom Everglades last weekend.

With 51 other teams participating, the pressure of the competitive environment could be felt. The team entered two robots - 11342A and 11342B - the latter built by Caden Sorrato, Simon Cura, Aiden Kennedy, Victor Valero, and our freshmen. They have put all their energy and dedication into this club and the results matched their efforts!

At the conclusion of the competition, the Columbus Robotics Team took home both the Excellence Award and the Skills Award. These are the two highest awards you can obtain. Currently, the Columbus robot is the No. 5 in the world! An accomplishment we are extremely proud of.

Congratulations are in order for Gabriel Paz, Daniel Luna, Javi Lopez and Anthony Alonso. Be on the lookout for our up and coming freshmen robotic members: Alain Gonzalez, Jorge Garcia, Nicolas Sedano and Felipe Solorzano.
