Summer Camps & Enrichment Programs

Discover the excitement of Summer @ CCHS camps! Our programs offer engaging, inclusive, and hands-on experiences for youth interested in various fields such as science, drama, broadcast journalism, sports, and adventure. Led by experienced camp directors, who are all esteemed Columbus faculty and staff members, our camps provide a blend of teaching, learning, exploration, and reflection both indoors and outdoors.

  • CCNN Live Summer Institute

    Weeks:
    Week of June 10-14
    Week of June 17-21

    Time: 8 am - 12 noon
    Cost: $400 for both weeks
    Camp Description: 
    At CCNN Live's Summer Institute, the longest-running high school journalism summer program in Miami-Dade County, boys and girls from grades 6-9 learn journalism and video production skills from experts and students alike. Students will meet in CCNN Live's brand new studio to learn to write fair and balanced stories, create compelling videos, edit and make graphics for their pieces. Principles of journalism will be discussed and several in-field experts will visit to give students their personal perspectives on the media.

  • Summer of Service at CCHS

    Weeks:
    Week of June 17-21
    Week of June 24-28
    Times: 8 am - 12:30 pm 
    Cost: $300 for both weeks (includes transportation, snacks, camp shirt, and activities)

    Camp Description: 
    Summer of Service (SOS) provides students with an opportunity to make a positive impact, serving and engaging with the community during the summer. Students will volunteer with local organizations that serve the homeless, individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and the environment. Through this immersive service program, students will understand the importance of social responsibility, build connections with classmates, strengthen their communication skills, build relationships with the community, and live out the marks of a Marist student. At the end of the two weeks, students will have earned 25 direct service hours and a minimum of 5 indirect service hours. This is a great opportunity to "be the change you wish to see in the world." ~Mahatma Gandhi 
     
    **Space is limited. Spots will be filled on a first come-first served basis.

  • Columbus Films Summer Camp

    Week:
    Week of June 10-14
    Time: 8 am - 12 noon
    Costs: $200
    Camp Description: 
    Columbus Film Camp is a fantastic opportunity for young filmmakers, boys and girls, age 12 -15 to immerse themselves in the world of filmmaking and develop new skills and interests.
     
    During the week-long camp, participants will receive hands-on training in various aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, filming, directing, prop building, and editing. It promises to be an enriching and educational experience for any young aspiring filmmaker.

  • Coach Bo’s Instructional Baseball Camp

    Time: Monday - Thursday (5 - 7 pm)
    Cost: $140 per week
    Description: Afternoon instructional baseball camp for players ages 6-12 to improve their skills and become better players. This camp allows young baseball players to learn under the tutelage of Columbus coaches and former players.

  • Columbus Summer Soccer Camp

    Time: 9 am -  3 pm (Late pick-up available)
    Cost: $250.00 per week 

    Camp Description: 
    Join us in a FULL DAY of camp where we continue to have fun and learn about the beautiful game of soccer! The camp staff has plenty of fun soccer and educational activities for all the campers! This will be taking place at Christopher Columbus High School, morning drop off will start at 9 am and pick up will be at 3 pm (Late pick-up is available until 4 pm, select the late pick-up option when registering!) Each camper should bring their own soccer ball (if not we will supply one), water bottle, cleats, sneakers, and their own lunch and snack (lunch options are available along with a concession stand.

  • Columbus Water Polo Summer Camp

    Location: Christopher Columbus High School & Miami Dade College Pool (South Campus)
    Cost: $295.00 per week 

    Camp Description: 
    Dive into summer fun with the Columbus Water Polo Summer Camp! Designed for boys ages 6-13, this two-week adventure blends skill-building, teamwork, and splashing excitement. Held both on campus and at the Miami Dade College South Pool, campers will enjoy expert coaching, poolside games, and a refreshing dive into the world of water polo. Join us for an unforgettable aquatic experience!

  • Miami Hoop School

    Camp Description:
    Improve your game with our amazing Miami Hoop School trainers this summer. Please bring your own basketball and lunch Monday-Thursday. Pizza will be provided on Fridays. A camp shirt will be included.

  • Miami Multilingual Sports Camp

    Description:
    Our mission at Miami Multilingual Sports Camp, LLC is to empower youth with the tools they need to achieve physical fitness, develop teamwork skills, learn Spanish, cultivate social emotional balance, and prioritize their health. We believe that by combining sports, language & cultural learning, it promotes global citizenship. Above all, we strive to inspire our campers to lead healthy, active, and fulfilling lives, both on and off the field.

    Camp Blurb/Description: 
    The Tier1Elite program is designed to prepare future high school soccer players for the next level. The training is designed to have players think, listen, and observe in order to learn what it takes to become successful at the high school level. The training is open to any incoming freshmen or any current high school student.

Athletic Team Workouts

  • Football

    All Incoming freshmen football players must have a current physical to participate in fall sports. Once completed, physicals are to be submitted to Brother Herb Baker in the training room facility.

    HUDL contact system: 
    All freshmen football players must be registered in our HUDL contact system for updates on practice dates, times, and messages. More info on setting up your HUDL account will be given at workouts in June. Information needed includes: freshmen football players full name, cell phone number, cell phone carrier, email address, and position.

    *During those times, the CCHS PE classes will be sharing the field with the team that is practicing. That will be coordinated with the PE coaches that day/week.
