Senior Pinning Ceremony

A Tradition of Brotherhood & Legacy

The Senior Pinning Ceremony is a reflective moment set aside to honor the Class of 2026 as they approach graduation. It provides seniors the opportunity to pause, recognize their growth, and acknowledge the relationships and values that have shaped their Columbus experience.

At the heart of the ceremony is a personal pinning moment, where each senior is recognized by someone who played an influential role in his journey. This shared experience highlights mentorship, gratitude, and the deep sense of brotherhood that defines life at Christopher Columbus High School.

Pinning Sponsors

A central element of the Senior Pinning Ceremony is the role of the pinning sponsor. Each senior selects an individual who has played a meaningful role in his journey at Christopher Columbus High School. This person represents guidance, support, and the values that have helped shape the senior’s experience.

Pinning sponsors may include parents or guardians, family members, alumni, teachers, coaches, counselors, or mentors. Sponsors must be physically present to participate in the ceremony and may pin no more than two seniors. This tradition underscores the importance of relationships and gratitude as students prepare to take their next steps beyond Columbus.
