Marist Brothers Anniversary Campaign

200 Years of Greatness

The year 2017 is an important one for the Marist family worldwide as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Marist Brothers religious order. It was on January 2, 1817 in La Valla, France that St. Marcellin Champagnat officially formed the congregation of brothers that would devote themselves to a life of education, faith and service in the way of Mary. From simple beginnings Marcellin’s mission spread to every continent and over the last 200 years has reached millions of students and their families who proudly call themselves Marist.

In celebration of the Marist Brothers 200th Anniversary, Columbus has launched a unique campaign that gives alumni and friends of Columbus the opportunity to make a donation to the school in honor of a particular Marist Brother (s) who made a long lasting impression in their life. Or, the donation can be made in honor of the Marist Brothers in general. The donation will benefit Christopher Columbus High School in the form of tuition assistance for needy families and in the expansion of school programs and facilities. In our final stretch, a distinguished member of the Columbus family will match the donations of any anyone who hasn’t already donated.

You can make your donation to the Marist Brothers 200th Anniversary securely online. You can use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. The process is quick and easy.

Matching donations will apply for contributions received from May 11 – July 31, 2017,
up to a significant amount.
