Spearfishing Club Report

The Spearfishing Club completed its first spearfishing tournament of the year.

This event was open to the entire current Columbus student body.

The boys spent the day in the sun fighting strong currents with fair visibility searching for grouper, hogfish, and mutton snapper.

Coming out on top was freshman Daniel Saenz. He managed to spear a 8.22 lb. grouper and a 22 1/4” hogfish that weighed 7.36 lb., which landed him in first place for both categories.
