Explorers Finish 2nd at District Duals

The varsity wrestling team will advance to next week's regional championship after finishing runner up in the District 16 Duals Tournament held at Coral Park. 

The Explorers defeated neighborhood rival Southwest 36-34 and Palmetto 70-9 before falling to defending state champion South Dade 45-22 in a hard fought contest.

Two Explorers were able to escape undefeated post event: Senior Michael Lynne (132 Ibs.) and Senior T.J. Brown (195 Ibs.). TJ also finished the tournament with 3 pins - all in the first period.
