FHSAA Track & Field Championship Recap

The Columbus Track & Field team competed up in Jacksonville this past weekend at the FHSAA Class 4A State Championship.

The team was honored to have late great head coach Fred Foyo’s wife Maria and their family in attendance. With Coach Foyo on their mind, the Explorers competed fiercely and finished 8th overall.

The 4x800 meter relay team are State Champions and posted the 2nd fastest time in school history! Alvaro Canarte, Adrian Bichara, Chris Ivonnet, and Malcolm Brown ran an amazing race.  Alvaro ran a strong leg against most teams fastest runners and handed the baton off in 5th place.
