Debaters Perform Well at 2 Tournaments

This weekend we attended two tournaments, a regional tourney hosted by McCarthur, and a national tourney hosted by Columbia University. A big shout out to the following explorers who compete their tails off this weekend.

Seniors:
Noah Sastoque: 1st place in World Schools Debate
Gabriel Llerena: 1st place in World Schools Debate
Javi Hidalgo-Gato: 1st place in World Schools Debate
Hansel Heres: 1st place in World Schools Debate
 
Juniors:
Phillip Castro: Columbia National LD
Marcelo Andreu: Voted best speaker in World Schools Debate
Jan Andretta: 2nd place in World Schools Debate

Hans Bendixen: 2nd place in World Schools Debate
 
Sophomores:
Nicholas Gonzalez: Columbia National LD
Alan Munchy: Columbia LD semi finalist
Kevin Alonso: Finalist for congressional Debate (7th overall)
Justin Marimon: Finalist for congressional Debate (8th overall)

Bruno Barreiro: 2nd place in World Schools Debate

Over the next moth the debaters will be competing at the annual Havard tournament as well as district qualifiers for Nationals.
