Golf Wins District Championship on Columbus Day

The Columbus golf team played their best round of the year today up in Stuart to capture the 2020 3A District 8 Championship on Columbus Day of all days!

The spectacular sophomore class led the way again with Andres Atrio (73), Hans Risvaer (73), Max Fonseca (74), Christian Figueredo (76) all counting in our four scores. Senior Justin Rodriguez also had a nice round coming in with a 79 as our fifth man.

Columbus took down Doral Academy, St. Thomas Aquinas, Fort Pierce, South Fork, Martin County, and Treasure Coast today to capture the program's 22nd district championship. Next week the boys will head up to St. Cloud and play in a very tough region now since we are one of the few south Florida teams that opted in to the state series.

Hopefully we can build off this momentum heading into next week and advance to the state championships in late October! Adelante!
