Spearfishing Club Report
This past Sunday, four members of the Spearfishing Club finally got the opportunity to proceed with the classroom session and confined water session of their freediving course which was headed by Columbus very own alumni Chris Tavera better known as the Miami Skin Diver.
After completing their online PADI freediving course the boys received the in class educational course which taught them the proper breathing technique, underwater warning signs, and diving technique amongst other things. After the classroom session, the boys applied the classroom lesson to the confined water session.
This course marks the third batch of boys that will be completing their freediving certification after the open water dives. This club is in its second year of existence and soon the boys will be out on the open water together diving safely in search for table fair food for many year to come.
