Morles '20 Named QuestBridge Scholarship Winner

Columbus senior Alejandro Morles will be attending the University of Chicago after receiving a full ride through a California-based scholarship program - QuestBridge.

He learned that he had matched with UChicago through the QuestBridge program late Monday, December 2. The Questbridge Scholarship is one of the countries premiere scholarships that connects the nation's brightest students from low-income backgrounds with leading institutions of higher education and further opportunities.

Out of 14,926 QuestBridge applicants and 5,842 finalists, only 1,127 students nationwide were selected as recipients of the College Match Scholarship. The scholarship awarded to Morles covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, room and board, books, supplies and travel expenses.

The senior Explorer who swims and is a member of the water polo team was encouraged to apply by the Mas Family Program guidance team.
