Golf Team Wins GMAC Championship

The Columbus golf team took the Redlands by storm yesterday, literally and figuratively.

The Explorers started, played 3 holes, and then the storms came rolling in, putting the team on about an hour delay. Once the skies cleared, some of the golfers needed new shirts, but were then able to get out there and easily capture the team title.

Sophomore Seb Kawas shot a one over par 73 to place 2nd overall. Freshman Christian Figueredo came in 3rd, shooting a 75 while Andres Atrio shot a 76 placing 4th. David Ragan IV finished 6th overall with a 79.

In an individual tournament, the boys took 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th overall out of 30 golfers.
