CCNN Live Hosts 6th Media Excellence Awards

Columbus' Emmy award winning TV Station - CCNN Live - honored local news journalists that have inspired them at the 6th Annual CCNN Live Media Excellence Awards on Saturday, September 14th. 

The event winners include:
Rookie of the Year: Arlene Borenstein - NBC 6
Best Radio Personality: Ashley O. - 104.3 The Shark
Best Sports Anchor: Steve Shapiro - WSVN 7
Best News Anchor: Ambrosio Hernandez - Univision 23
Best General Assignment Reporter: Nicole Linsalata - WSVN 7
Best Weather Personality: Phil Ferro - WSVN 7
Best Use of Social Media: Neki Mohan -  Local 10

CCNN Live is one of the most highly acclaimed student television stations in the country. Their many achievements include winning NSPA's "Best Daily High School News Show" in the Nation for three consecutive years and multiple STN Crazy 8 Broadcast National Championships.
