Wrestling Qualifies 8 to State Tournament

The varsity wrestling team qualified eight wrestlers out of the 14 weight classes to compete at the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship this weekend in
Kissimmee, Florida.

Robert Dusendang (113 lbs.), Charles Huffman (120 lbs.), Justin Valdes (126lbs.), Dylan Mira (132 lbs.), David Milton (145 lbs.), Ryan Gonzalez (152 lbs.), Brent Becerra (170 lbs.) and Carmine D'Ascoli (195 lbs.) will all represent Columbus proudly after a very hard fought Region 4-3A Championship.
 
As a team, the Explorers came in 3rd place behind defending state champion South Dade and runner up Southwest.
