Anglers Club/Spearfishing Club IGFA Report

This past Friday, the Anglers Club and Spearfishing Club both had the pleasure to attend a clinic presented by the IGFA, International Game Fish Association.

The boys received the special opportunity to experience one of the club’s special events that allows them to directly interact and be taught by those who are deeply involved in the marine conservation, preservation, and education efforts.

The group of 30 received instructions on how to tie advanced knots, fly casting, and cast netting. After the educational clinic, they had the opportunity to apply what has been taught and fish the beautiful lakes of CB Smith Park for bass.

A great deal of gratitude and appreciation goes to the IGFA for having educational programs available to the youth to learn various techniques and special thanks goes to Ms. Lisa for helping organizing this clinic for the second year for our boys.
