Swim Team Wins District Championship

Yesterday, October 25th, the swim team managed to float their way to a district title. The Explorers competed in every individual event and relay fiercely to defend their district championship title. 

The individuals that have earned their ticket to regionals and placing 1st were Gabriel Velazquez, Juan Muci, Emilio Marin, and Daniel Ibarra in the 200 yard medley relay. Matthew Amore in the 200 yard freestyle. Daniel Ibarra and Gabriel Velazquez had a rare 1st place tie in the 100 yard butterfly. Matthew Amore in the 500 freestyle. 

Taking second and moving onto regionals are Rolando Viera, Grant Archer, Juan Muci, and Lester Ruiz in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Juan Muci in the 100 yard breaststroke. Lastly, the 400 yard freestyle relay team Matthew Amor, Gabriel Velazquez, Lester Ruiz, and Daniel Ibarra who had a very strong finish after being a bit behind.
