The Greatest Swim Race That Never Happened

This past Friday, the Columbus swim team had a three-way shootout between Ransom Everglades and Belen.

Ransom fell early to both Columbus and Belen only scoring 24 points while Columbus continued to shoot it out with the Wolverines. The showdown between the two teams was heated as the decisive factor of who wins came down to the last event of the night, the 400 Freestyle relay. As both teams knew that this would be the event that determines the winner between the two rivals, both teams were fired up and ready to go.

The Wolverines engines were humming but the Explores engines were roaring. The anticipation and excitement could be felt all around the pool deck and stands as all spectators and team members from Ransom, Belen, and Columbus were on their feet cheering and screaming for their team.

As the swimmers were instructed to take the blocks and get set, mother nature intervened and triggered the Thor-Guard to blow its horn and all swimmers were instructed to clear the deck.

The highly-anticipated relay between the two teams would have been the decisive factor of who would have really won the meet. The scores stood Ransom 24. Columbus, 65, Belen 67.

In conclusion, the swim team finished their regular season 6-1 with an "inconclusive score" against Belen.
