Anglers Club Hosts 2nd Annual Bass Fishing Tournament

This past Saturday, April 28, the Columbus Anglers Club completed their 2nd Annual Bass Fishing Tournament.

A total of 32 anglers that participated in the event.
 
The boys reported early to the school to pick up their tournament package and then went to their secret spots to fish for an award-winning fish. In the end, there would only be one winner in the two divisions.
 
In the peacock bass division, freshman Tobias Castillo won by landing a 22 1/4” pea. Second place went to Junior Luis Sanchez who caught a 22” pea and third place went to Junior Christopher Costa who landed a 21 1/2 pea.
 
In the largemouth division, Junior Dax Ramos won by landing a 22 1/4” largemouth. In second place, Junior Sean Hodson measured a 20” bass and coming in third was freshman Andrew Alonso with a 20” bass.
 
Special thanks to a few former Explorers - Eric Jimenez ’15 for being our deejay for the second year and Ignacio Borbolla for being the official judge for the second year as well.
