Anglers Join Baynanza Shoreline Cleanup

Coach Dukes and 10 Anglers Club members joined in the Miami-Dade County Baynanza shoreline cleanup event.

Baynanza is a celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of our most important ecological systems in South Florida. While Baynanza includes more than 25 great events throughout March and April, the event that has become nearly synonymous with this celebration is the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day.

The boys dedicated their personal time to help with the efforts to keep our ecosystem clean and making an impact on protecting our natural resources and marine life. The members took a pontoon ride, curtesy of Beach Paddle & Co., from Maurice Gibb Park and spent several hours on Flagler Monument Island picking up multiple types of debris off the island before it enters our oceans and having a negative impact on the marine animals and environment.

This event was a great addition to the club list of activities and a great way for the boys to get a glimpse of how the everyday products that we use is impacting our environment and what we can do to preserve it.
