National Business Honor Society

Attention all Juniors and Seniors: Do you qualify for the National Business Honor Society?  This is your opportunity to find out and apply.

The objective and purpose of this organization is to promote and recognize academic achievement in Business Education at Columbus High School; foster and recognize leadership skills and character development; help members grow ethically and socially by promoting and encouraging an interest in business; and encourage member involvement in service learning initiatives.
 
This is not a club.  Students interested in applying for membership must meet the following preliminary criteria:
  • Must be a junior or senior in high school;
  • Must have completed or currently enrolled in his third (3) Business and Computer Science Education Course; and
  • Must have a minimum standard GPA, on a 4.0 scale, as follows:
    • 3.5 average in Business and Computer Science Education Courses
    • 3.0 overall academic average
 
Active Membership in the honor society is attained through a selection process.  Selection for membership is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service.  Candidates will become official members when inducted at a special ceremony.
 
If you meet the preliminary requirements and would like to apply to the National Business Honor Society Christopher Columbus High School Charter, please attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 31st at 2:45 p.m. in Room M28.  Information about the National Business Honor Society and selection process will be explained.  Furthermore, applications for consideration will be available.
