2018 National Merit Scholars Announced

Christopher Columbus High School is proud to announce that a number of seniors have received recognition in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. 

These Explorers qualified as one of the following: National Hispanic Recognition, Commended Student:

  • Alejandro Rodriguez
  • Gregory Valerius
  • Ygnacio A. Garcia-Saladrigas
  • Julian T. Lazcano
  • Gregory R. Mesa
  • Lucas G. Rodriguez
  • David L. Trueba
We are also proud to announce that Stefan M. Hengartner has been named a semifinalist in the 63rd Annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Stefan is among 16,000 semifinalists nationwide competing for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth about $32 million in total. He was selected for scoring among the highest in the state on the PSAT in 11th grade.
 
Lastly, we would like to congratulate and thank our faculty and counselors who work so hard to educate and prepare our students to compete academically for State and National competitions.
