CCHS Students Enjoy eMerge Americas

A number of Columbus students attended eMerge Americas, a technology conference that connects revolutionary startups, cutting-edge ideas, global industry leaders and investors.

The students were on hand to hear the conference keynote from Steve Wozniak and then tour the various startup companies showing off their new technology and applications to potential investors. Wozniak, co-founder of Apple and well-known tech entrepreneur opened the keynote sessions with the story of how he got to where he is and where he believes the tech industry is going.

The purpose of this conference is to bring together global industry investors and leaders with local startups and the Miami community to help transform Miami into the technological hub of the Americas. As Miami Beach Mayor, Phillip Levine stated in his opening remarks, Miami is "truly becoming a high-tech innovation capital."
