Mr. Moro Selected as Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction

Math Teacher and Columbus alumnus Carlos Moro was recently selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars.

He was nominated for this award by one of his students, Pablo Quiñonez, for his excellence in teaching and for the encouragement of and dedication to the academic success of students at Christopher Columbus High School.

Pablo, a senior, noted that “Mr. Moro is the best teacher that I ever had at Columbus.  He's the kind of teacher that really goes out of his way to connect with his students and truly cares about them. When I heard about this award that honors teachers, I automatically thought of Mr. Moro.”
