Columbus Connects Mentoring

Conversation Starter

This is the first of a series of programs designed to take advantage of our vast alumni base in an effort to enhance the careers of our young alumni, and will be an expansion of the “Columbus Connects” brand.  The success of the program requires a commitment from both the Mentor and the Mentee.

The main goal will be to pair alumni that graduated from Columbus within the last 10 years with an alumnus in their respective field of interest with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

The following is what will be suggested of the Mentor – Mentee Relationship:
  1. Minimum meeting of 1 hour per month (in person or via telephone).
  2. Minimum in person meeting once every 3 months.
  3. Mentee to outline what they would like to get out of the relationship and learn from their mentor.
The program officially launched in the Fall of 2014 with a networking event where Mentors and Mentees met for the first time. We are looking for alumni in all fields (banking, finance, medicine, law, accounting, engineering, politics, healthcare, IT, education, professional sports, etc.).

Applications for the 2017-18 mentoring program are to the right and must be received by Monday, September 18, 2017.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the forms and return them to Barbara Branas via e-mail at bbranas@columbushs.com.
