Golf Team Finishes 2nd at Honda Classic

The Explorers went into championship Saturday at the High School Honda Classic National Invitational down just 5 strokes and sitting in 5th place overall out of 18 teams.

They stormed back, climbed up the leaderboard all day trying to pull out the victory and came up a few strokes short. The tournament was played at PGA National in West Palm, one of the toughest courses in Florida and home to the Honda Classic, where the PGA tour event takes place every year.

The Explorers were led today by Sebastian Kawas who shot even par (72) with 5 birdies to help the Explorers finish in 2nd place. Hans Risvaer 75, Christian Figueredo 75, and Max Fonseca 75 all contributed shooting just 3 over par as well.

With teams from Texas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and the top ranked teams in Florida, we are extremely proud of our guys and the way they played.
