Flying Club Trip to KSC

Last week, the Flying Club took a field trip to Kennedy Space Center.

Weathering a wild, brush fire each way of the trip, up north and down south, the club members experienced unexpected delays that altered its schedule a bit. Nevertheless, the boys trotted on joyfully, accepting the lot given to them.

Between viewing a Saturn V rocket that has been decommissioned for museum display, sitting in the Apollo 8 firing room, viewing a Lunar Excursion Module up-close, viewing the astronauts' hall of fame and personal artifacts, and spending some time in the complex's gift shops, the lads enjoyed a good time of bonding, intellectual stimulation, and a rekindling of their passion for aviation through this unique, hands-on experience.

Aside from the intellectual and affective excitement in witnessing, up-close, milestones related to their passion, our lads celebrated a deep camaraderie.
