Model UN Shows Promise in it's Inaugural Conference

Join us in congratulating the new CCHS Model UN team, a new club brought on by the initiative of our students.

The club – spearheaded by Mr. De Tuya and Mr. Hermida - but fueled by our student leaders.

The Explorers participated in Florida International University’s 33rd annual Model UN Conference. Our students represented a variety of countries and historical figures on their way to a jam packed and interesting 3 days of strategizing, debating, and consensus building.

Our students received some fantastic positive feedback and were commended for doing well on their first ever competition. The following Explorers not only performed well in the conference, but their sense of enterprise in bringing a new club to Columbus was felt:

Jan Andretta
Marcelo Andreu
Enrique Villamil
Nicolas Lavin
Nicholas Martinez
Eleazar Lopez-Contreras
Mathew Calviño

Other members who could not attend this weekend:

Phillip Castro
Ryan McMillan
Gabriel Perez
Bruno Barrerio
Emilio Boutros
Lucas Figeroa
Justin Aguillar
