2020-21 SILVER KNIGHT NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

Christopher Columbus High School is proud to announce its nominees for the 2020-21 Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards, one of the nation's most highly regarded student awards programs.

Each senior Explorer has excelled academically, maintaining a high GPA, all while serving selflessly in our community.

Athletics: Rodrigo Velazco
Business: Gilbert Navarro
Digital & Interactive Media: Ray Lozano
English & Literature: Michael Bendixen
General Scholarship: Lukas Bleichner
Journalism: Christopher Gomez
Mathematics: Christopher de la Viesca
Music & Dance: Joseph Bilbao
Science: Patrick Garcia
Social Science: Adrian Noy
Speech: Noah Sastoque
Vocational Technical: Hansel Heres
World Languages: Darrick Baboun

One Silver Knight and three Honorable Mentions will be selected in each of the 15 categories by a panel of independent judges and announced at the James L. Knight Center in mid-May. Winners receive $2,000, a Silver Knight statue and a medallion. The three Honorable Mentions each receive $500 and an engraved plaque.
