Wrestling Wins Dual Meet Tournament

The Varsity Wrestling won the Coral Springs Invitational Dual Meet Tournament this past weekend.

The team defeated Western 78-5, Jupiter 54-18, American Heritage 78-4, Stranahan 84-0 and Stoneman Douglas 78-6 on Friday before returning Saturday to defeat Dillard 84-0, St. Andrews 78-6, Park Vista 75-6, Westminster 78-3 and Coral Springs in the final 67-12.
      
Eight Explorers (out of the 14 weight classes) went undefeated (10-0) throughout the tournament and winning the Iron Colt Award were Christian Guzman 106 lbs., Ryan Rivero 113 lbs., Robert Dusendang 120 lbs., Gavin Buck 126 lbs., Diego Romero 132 lbs., Dylan Mira 138 lbs., Rocco D’Ascoli 160 lbs. and Gian Rodriquez 220lbs.
 
The Explorers next host Olympic Heights High School on Wednesday. The junior varsity team wrestles at 6 pm and the varsity at 7 pm.
