Varsity Golf Team Places 1st

The Columbus golf team won the Westminster 18-hole invitational at Crandon Golf Course over Gulliver, Ransom Everglades, Palmer Trinity, and Westminster.

The Explorers were led by their team captain, David Ragan IV, who played stellar shooting a +1 (73), placing tied for 1st overall individual against Ransom's No. 1 golfer, who is attending Stanford next year to play golf. This was no easy task considering there was 30 mph winds at one of the toughest courses in Miami.

Also, contributing to the victory, was junior Gabriel Niembro who shot a +3 (75), freshman Andres Atrio (76), and junior Justin Rodriguez (78). The golfers not only won the tournament, but took 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th overall as individuals.
