XC Wins Spanish River Invitational

The Columbus Cross Country team came in 1st place at the Spanish River Invitational.

They were led up front by Christian Ivonnet, who has been consistent all season to date, and Donato Scarcello, who ran a career best. Nick Ivonnet and Marcus Mata also ran a career best for the Hellions. The gap between runners 1 - 5 was only 25 seconds.
 
The JV Hellions brought home some hardware also, finishing 2nd with 10 runners placing in the top 40 spots. They were led up front by Rowen Pouza.
 
The Hellions are currently ranked 5th in the state and are entering the middle of the season with their eyes set in contending for a state championship.
