ACEs, Buck Martinez '76 Speaks to Columbus Coaches

Members of the Columbus athletic program were visited by Buck Martinez ’76 and his team from the Student ACES organization and learned all about leadership and character building to start the 2019-20 school year.

The nonprofit organization has trained and mentored over 10,000 student-athletes and hundreds of coaches. Florida Power & Light Co. has partnered with Student ACES to sponsor programming that will reach five South Florida counties. The program incorporates best in class leadership curriculum with character education and mentoring through team-building drills and activities.

Florida Marlins all-star catcher Charles Johnson spoke alongside Martinez, who is Student ACES co-founder and former FPL executive who started the program in 2013. He has published three books on youth leadership and wants to reach out to as many student-athletes as he can.
