Explorers Finish 3rd at GMACs

The Varsity Wrestling Team finished in third place, behind South Dade and Southwest, in the 35 team Greater Miami Athletic Conference Tournament held this past weekend at Ronald Reagan High School.

Nine Explorers placed in the top six in their weight class to help the team. Charles Huffman (120lbs.) and Carmine D'Ascoli (195 lbs.) both finished in first place while Robert Dusendang (113 lbs.), Justin Valdés (126lbs.) and Ryan Gonzalez (152lbs.) each placed third.
 
Dylan Mira (132 lbs.), Armando Hurtado (145 lbs.) and Brent Becerra (170 lbs.) placed fourth while David Milton (145 lbs.) came in sixth overall. The team caps out its regular season this weekend at the 30+ team Jupiter High School Invitational.
