Jazz Band Earns Top Honors at WorldStrides Festival in New York City
Over the break, the school’s Jazz Band traveled to New York City to compete in the prestigious WorldStrides Music Festival, earning impressive recognition among more than 1,000 student musicians from across the country.
The ensemble secured 2nd place overall and was also awarded the Spirit Award, recognizing their enthusiasm, professionalism, and musical excellence throughout the event.
In addition to the group honors, seniors Adrian Fernandez and Santiago Roig received individual soloist awards, a significant achievement given that only 10 soloist awards were presented across the entire festival.
Beyond the competition, students had the unique opportunity to experience the city’s rich musical culture, including a private tour of the New York Philharmonic, further enriching their trip.
