FBLA Achieves Record-Breaking Success at State Leadership Conference

This past weekend, 39 Christopher Columbus High School FBLA members competed at the Florida FBLA State Leadership Conference in Orlando after advancing from the district level. The conference featured more than 6,000 students from across the state, making this year’s competition one of the most competitive to date.

Columbus delivered its strongest performance in school history. The Explorers earned six State Championships—doubling the previous school record—and brought home a total of 13 awards, more than ever before. All 13 award recipients have qualified for the FBLA National Leadership Conference this summer in San Antonio.

First Place State Champions:
Alejandro Caram – Economics (2x State Champion)
Luke Smith – Project Management (2x State Champion)
Alfred Gonzalez-Eloy – Entrepreneurship Team
Frederico Moya – Entrepreneurship Team
Lucas Hernandez – Networking Infrastructures
Dylan Fulgueira – Retail Management

Jacob Giraldo – Entrepreneurship Team
Max Gonzalez – Entrepreneurship Team
Ruben Guerra – Future Business Leader
Daniel Gonzalez – Networking Infrastructures

In addition to their competitive success, Columbus was recognized for its impactful service initiative, STOP THE RUMBLING, which supports students in need during the Christmas season. This year’s Florida FBLA service theme, Feeding Florida, highlights the organization’s commitment to developing community-minded business leaders.
