Columbus Students Build Boating Safety Skills

The Anglers Club and Spearfishing Club hosted their annual Boater Safety Course this past Saturday, giving Columbus students the opportunity to learn how to navigate South Florida’s waterways safely and responsibly.

Sponsored by the Monica Burguera Foundation and presented by members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the course covered boating safety, navigation, and rules and regulations. Students who completed the course earned their boater safety cards.

With boating such a big part of life in South Florida, the course helps Explorers develop the knowledge they need to protect themselves, their passengers, and others on the water.

Thank you to the Monica Burguera Foundation and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for helping our students become more informed and responsible boaters.
